Introduction: Renukiran Welfare Foundation responsible for organizing the food distribution


Objectives:
  • The primary objective of the food distribution activity was to provide assistance to individuals and families facing food insecurity in the community.
  • Summary:

  • On 15 March, 2018, the Renukiran Welfare Foundation conducted a Food for All activity at Basantpur. The event started at 10 AM and concluded at 4 PM. The purpose of this initiative was to alleviate hunger and provide essential nutrition to those in need within our community.
  • Key Activities:

  • Registration: Volunteers assisted attendees with the registration process, ensuring that accurate data was collected for record-keeping purposes.
  • Food Preparation: Prior to the event, volunteers and staff members organized and packed food items into individual packages to streamline the distribution process.
  • Distribution: Registered attendees were provided with pre-packed food items, including non-perishable goods, fresh produce, and hygiene products. Volunteers ensured that the distribution was conducted in an orderly manner, with a focus on maintaining social distancing and COVID-19 safety protocols.
  • Community Engagement: During the distribution, volunteers engaged with the attendees, providing information about additional support services available in the community, such as shelters, counselling, and healthcare resources.
  • Clean-up: After the distribution concluded, volunteers cleaned the area, ensuring that no waste was left behind, and all materials were properly disposed of or recycled.

  • Number of Volunteers: Number of 26 volunteers involved in the activity.
  • Number of Food Packages Distributed: Total number of450 food packages distributed.
